Exterior Retin and Reskin Model for Texas Roadhouse in Florence, AL

VMC Facilities LLC recently completed a full restaurant commercial construction exterior retin and reskin model project at Texas Roadhouse in Florence, Alabama. This upgrade refreshed the building exterior while also strengthening long-term protection against weather and wear. The goal was simple. Improve durability, restore the brand appearance, and extend the life of the building envelope.

First, the crew mobilized on site and began removing aging exterior materials. They carefully demoed sections of cedar siding, soffits, fascia boards, parapet walls, shutters, and lighting fixtures. At the same time, the team removed lower roof metal where needed to prepare for updated moisture protection. After demolition, crews installed additional ice and water shield along the lower roof sections. This step helps prevent leaks and protects vulnerable roof transitions.

Next, the team wrapped the building with a fresh layer of Tyvek weather barrier. This layer improves energy performance and protects the structure from moisture intrusion. Once the wrap was installed, crews began installing new woodtone Allura siding across the exterior walls. This fiber cement siding provides the warm look of natural wood while delivering superior durability and low maintenance.

At the same time, crews installed new trim boards, soffit panels, and accessories to complete the exterior finish. New green fascia boards were installed around the building and carefully painted and sealed. In addition, the team installed vertical soffit panels on the parapet walls and added trim around windows and soffit transitions. These details help maintain the Texas Roadhouse brand style while improving building performance.

Finally, the crew installed new LED lighting throughout the soffit panels and reinstalled tower lighting. New flashing, Z-strip connections, and roof drip edge were also installed to improve water management across the building.

This exterior retin and reskin model project gave the Florence Texas Roadhouse a refreshed appearance while reinforcing the building envelope for years to come. VMC Facilities continues to partner with national restaurant brands to deliver reliable restaurant exterior renovation and commercial construction upgrades across the country.
