Texas Roadhouse To-Go Room Remodel in Gainesville, Georgia

VMC Facilities, LLC is currently managing project 260041, an ongoing to-go room remodel for Texas Roadhouse in Gainesville, Georgia. This active restaurant construction project will improve the existing to-go area through a new wall configuration, a dedicated service window, a new Eliason door, and other related upgrades.

Construction remains underway, and the team has not completed the project. The available images show the restaurant before construction began and during the early stages of work. These before and progress photos create a visual record of the original space and help document each stage of the renovation.

Preparing the Restaurant for Construction

VMC Facilities arrived onsite to begin planning and coordinating the to-go room remodel. The project team reviewed the proposed construction scope and prepared the work area for the upcoming changes.

The documented project scope includes a new Eliason door, a new to-go window, and new walls. Early site deliveries included a 20-foot rental container, a Seneca door, and a 20-yard dumpster. These deliveries gave the construction team the equipment and materials needed to prepare the restaurant for active work.

The team also completed a final walkthrough with restaurant representatives to review the scope and discuss change orders. This walkthrough allowed everyone involved to review the existing conditions and confirm the planned work before major construction activities moved forward.

Documenting the Before Conditions

Before starting the main construction work, the team took preconstruction and QA/QC photos of the restaurant. These images show the original condition of the to-go room and nearby areas.

The before photos play an important role in the project record. They show the starting layout and provide a clear comparison for future progress and completion photos. As construction continues, new images can show how the crew changes the walls, doorway, and to-go service area.

The team continued to inspect and photograph the site while waiting for SMD Contracting to arrive. During this stage, the quick-service to-go window and air curtain also arrived at the project location.

Building the New To-Go Room Layout

The latest project update confirms that active construction is underway. SMD Contracting began building a new exterior wall around the Eliason door that will connect the kitchen and to-go room.

The crew also started removing a small existing wall. In its place, the crew began constructing a shorter wall for the new to-go window. These changes will establish the planned layout for the renovated to-go area.

The new wall configuration, Eliason door, and service window represent key parts of the documented construction scope. Together, these improvements will reshape the existing space and support the restaurant’s planned to-go room design.

Current Project Status

Project 260041 remains ongoing and not yet completed. The project updates do not provide a confirmed completion date. VMC Facilities will continue to document construction progress as the work advances.

Because the crew continues to work on the remodel, this portfolio entry features before and early progress photos rather than final completion images. Future updates can include additional construction milestones, finished details, and final photos once the team completes the project.
