Gordon Bruner

Owner/Chief Manager

Gordon started VMC Facilities and Construction with $1500 and a used pick up truck in his basement in 1998, with Ruby Tuesdays being his first customer and grew his relationship with Brinker International that took VMC into multiple states. Since then, Gordon’s passion, hard work, and dedication of building partnerships with his customers has grown VMC exponentially in the restaurant, retail, and hospitality construction industry.

 

Gordon has served on the Restaurant Facility Management Association (RFMA) as an advisory board member, Committee Co-Chair, Membership Development Committee, Program Committee, Head of the Project Gives in Nashville, TN, and most recently was awarded RFMA’s MVP. He also serves in committees with Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association (PRSM).

Phil Dortch

CEO

Phil joined VMC as a financial adviser to the owner and strategist for the company in the early years of operations.

 

Phil guides the strategic initiative and business disciplines to achieve the owners vision and works closely with the leadership team in finance, operations and business development.

 

Phil has more than 3 decades serving in professional advisory roles as a CPA, CFP, CIMA and CPWA. He has previously served as COO and CFO in other organizations and owns a wealth management practice specializing in advice to entrepreneurs.

 

Phil is a member of Vistage International, an organization of CEO’s, that provides peer advisory and leadership development. This association enables VMC to leverage the wisdom and experience of peers, the guidance of an expert leadership coach – called a Vistage Chair – and the collective knowledge of the worldwide Vistage community.

Kristi Davis

Marketing and Relationship Manager

Graduated from University of Tennessee with a psychology degree she supported herself through college by bartending and serving where she gained a lot of her knowledge and networking skills at various local restaurants. Kristi joined VMC Facilities and Construction in January 2011 as the executive assistant to the owner and since then promoted to Marketing and Relationship Manager. Kristi is responsible for marketing and business development and plays a key role in the growth of VMC.

 

Kristi’s passion for children has made her very involved in her community as she is on the advisory board of the Boys and Girls Club as well as Case Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of East Tennessee and dedicates a week – sometimes two to go on a missionary trip to San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

Greg Massingale

Project Lead

Greg Massingale has been with VMC since the summer of 2014 and brings with him over 25 years of construction and operations management.  Greg studied business at the University of Tennessee and worked in environmental construction and remediation for the bulk of his professional year.

 

Greg brings experience and problem solving skills to team, while keeping our project managers on track with deliverables and customer deadlines.  His pricing and estimating background helps VMC produce quality proposals that fully address our customer’s needs.

 

Greg enjoys family time, music, and coaching basketball when his not working on VMC projects.
